Why Gandalf?
Thiel is a huge Lord of the Rings fan. His surveillance company, Palantir, is named after the magical stones that the Dark Lord Sauron uses to pursue world domination. We think that’s bullshit and reference one of the epic scenes in the movie with “Thiel shall not pass.” We’re also alluding to international protests against Thiel, such as those in his new adopted home of Buenos Aires.
PROGRAM
A rally has been registered to take place in front of the Axel Springer skyscraper. We are presenting the program for it here.
Spontaneous and self-organized actions may also take place outside the rally. You are welcome to participate. Look out for one another. We stand in solidarity. And we have support structures such as the Investigation Committee and Awareness.

Barriers and Accessibility
Noise levels may be higher at and around the rally.
We expect a heavy police presence at the rally and in the surrounding area.
This may result in unwieldy scenes.
We have an awareness team on-site and an “out-of-action” area outside. Please approach the people wearing high-visibility vests on-site.

Three reasons why it’s important for you to join:
1 – Peter Thiel isn’t coming just to pick up an award. Thiel wants to impose his far-right libertarian ideology on Europe. He has a fortune worth billions at his disposal to do so. Germany, with its far-right AfD party, is his gateway to Europe.
2 – In recent years, we have successfully demonstrated how we, as an open society, deal with autocrats like Trump and Musk. We stand for an open society, for queerness, and for boundless solidarity.
3 – Fun! Berlin’s community is fighting back with the tools we have: loud protests, diversity & queerness, satire, and creative interventions.
